Fighting Against an Unfair Audit

For the first time in my life, I was hit with a tax audit last year. It came as a shock to me to see a letter arrive in the mail telling me about it. I thought it was some kind of scam at first, so I contacted the IRS, but they confirmed it was real. I asked them why I was being audited, and they told me it was because of how much money I made. I immediately started looking for a New York tax attorney that could get me out of this situation.

I found what I considered to be one of the best tax attorneys in the entire country. He worked with me to fight the tax audit by looking at my tax returns and contacting the IRS repeatedly. He was pretty relentless in his approach to the IRS. I like that in an attorney. I once had an attorney represent me in a car accident case, and he was one of the softest attorneys ever. It was a miracle that I was able to win that case, because he was acting like a total pushover against the other attorney and the judge. I told everyone I knew to never hire him if they ever get into a car accident.

The work done by the tax attorney was effective. The IRS dropped the audit and I was in the clear. There was nothing suspicious about my income, so I don’t know why they bothered to audit me in the first place, but I’m done with them, at least for now. I’ll have to fill out taxes again, and hopefully they won’t have to audit me again. If they do, I’ll call the tax attorney and he’l make sure that they drop it like they did the last time.
